DLH Productions is the work of Portland's very own Dave Hupp. He's a local professional photographer that has been shooting and filming skateboarding in the Northwest for years. His work can be seen in movies, magazines, and more. Check out his website and tell him Burnsideskatepark.com sent you.

"Built without permission, by skateboarders and later sanctioned by the city, Burnside is the preeminent example of action.... Like a magnifying glass in the sun, Burnside can witness a concentration of skill level unmatched anywhere. You can see crazy, crazy things there. Go, watch, learn, be humbled, excited and inspired. It is amazing."

Countdown To The Blowout

Thursday, August 19
There are only two days until the 1st annual Burnside Blowout. I know there are a ton of other events going on the same day, Save Ballard Bowl and the Carbondale Run, just to name a couple. I fully support the Ballard Bowl event, even though I've never been there, and if you're in the Seattle area or have a way of getting there, I suggest you go. Skaters need to stand with other skaters when it comes to protecting the parks we build.

BUT, if you aren't going to be up north and plan on being in Portland on Saturday, swing by Burnside and check it out. It is just going to be one big snake session with little product give-aways on the side. We will be giving product away to skaters that look like they need it or fall into one of our unannounced prize catagories. The catagories are things like hard slams, good collisions, sick runs, sicker tricks, and others to be determined. I've already been through what we will have there so I'll leave it at that. See you there.

That's it. Go skate!
