DLH Productions is the work of Portland's very own Dave Hupp. He's a local professional photographer that has been shooting and filming skateboarding in the Northwest for years. His work can be seen in movies, magazines, and more. Check out his website and tell him Burnsideskatepark.com sent you.

"Built without permission, by skateboarders and later sanctioned by the city, Burnside is the preeminent example of action.... Like a magnifying glass in the sun, Burnside can witness a concentration of skill level unmatched anywhere. You can see crazy, crazy things there. Go, watch, learn, be humbled, excited and inspired. It is amazing."

Watching Paint Dry

Monday, June 21
The park has been painted. Early last week the park got a fresh coat of paint and is looking pretty good. Luckily I showed up a few days after the paint job, there's nothing worse then the virgin runs on a freshly painted park. The problem is that you can't see the trannies due having no marks on them. But by the time I got down there there were plenty of wheel marks to give just enough depth perception as not to run straight into the wall.

This weekend was HOT in P-town. I think it was in the upper 90's. The sessions were pretty mellow. Most of the skaters would take a few runs and then kick back for a few to cool off. Nobody was really going off but everybody was having fun.
I've added a link to a new page for all of the details about the Punk as Fuck Blowout coming in August. There's still a bit of planning to do in order to get this event as big as we want it, but it's happening. So hop on over and check it out. I'll have a flyer posted there in a couple of days for whoever wants one.
